Re: Hike Events in Strange Times

As the organizer of the event I say do whatever you feel comfortable with and then let grown adults make their own decision on if they feel comfortable attending. If you don’t feel comfortable or for some reason feel responsible for others then you probably shouldn’t have it. My .02 cents.

Re: Superstitions Water

@SJFL I’d be really surprised if it were dry. It may be low but not dry. It’s a short hike to take a look and provide a report.

@Hansenaz The wife and I both have iPhones with a data plan via Boost for a flat $55 a month for both. Neither of our cars have navigation, hers is older and doesn’t have Apple CarPlay so she just uses her phone directly for navigation assistance. The Subaru does have Apple CarPlay and once the pho...

@chumley Reminds me of the GI Joe saying “knowing is half the battle” or something like that.

Re: Garmin GPSMAP 64

Route Scout is far superior to any handheld GPS and there really isn’t any learning curve that I recall when I started using it. A few features I really like are the ability to import and export a route directly, no need to connect to some computer anchor, and the announcements of upcoming waypoints...

For Sale: Yokohama Geolander G91F Tires

For sale, a set of 4 all-season tires removed from a 2019 Subaru Crosstrek with only 6900 miles. Probably a common size for crossovers and small SUVs.

P225/60R17 98H

Would like to get $200.00 for the set. PM me if interested.

@CannondaleKid Fully agree. I just can’t quench my thirst sucking from a tube and have never used straws for that same reason.

Re: AZ National Forest Closures

Usery Park will still be open so I was wondering about Meridian TH since you would be crossing Tonto NF to get into the park so I called the Mesa Ranger District The Ranger wasn’t 100% sure but said if you were legally parked it probably was ok Hmm, not sure I’d risk the fine

@nonot Hiked Peralta to the Lone Pine today and the trail is in great shape. Peralta past Fremont Saddle looks clear as far as the eye can see although you will be hiking in the burned area.

I posted a trip log with pics.
