I still haven't heard from anyone about a ride up there. getting anywhere in phoenix using the transit system is a PITA, especially early in the morning. so someone please help out here. I'm begging here (something I don't do very well). -Eric phone: 623-399-5635 I have a complete camp gear setup (b...

Re: Grasshopper's Camping/Hiking event: Wed-4/27 to Mon-5/2/

I have a complete camp gear setup (back pack, tent, sleeping bag, pad, canteens, hammer and even portable ham radio). I wouldn't mind overnight camping for 2 or 3 days. my only problem is going to be getting a ride from west phoenix. anyone going from this side of town or relatively close willing to...

looking for more hikes and partners

I find that I want to do a lot more hiking. So, I am seeking more partners that I can go out with. Tortoise Hiker is my current Hiking partner, but having other obligations means that his opportunities for hiking are limited (work, other events, etc.). so, if anyone doesn't mind having a relatively ...

Re: blind person looking for hikes

Once we're down in Casa Grande I've got to figure out where ...

Re: blind person looking for hikes

thanks for the response. I wouldn't mind hiking anywhere in arizona personally. the only issue would be getting a ride to the meeting point. I'm game for just about anything. Hi, saw you on another website! Hope someone on here can help you out. I don't live nearby or I'd be happy to go for a hike w...

blind person looking for hikes

hey guys, I happen to be a blind person with some trail experience (just not much in the last decade or so) looking to get back into the activity. I haven't had a lot of luck getting on with any clubs (very little response to e-mails I have sent). I want to hike, but find it hard to do so alone. I h...
