This is what I have come up with so far. Barbershop Trail #191 Fred Haught Trail #141 U-Bar Trail #28 They are closer to 10-14 miles round trip but I figured we can stop any where that looks good to camp on the trail...and not do the whole thing. What do you guys think? Any other suggestions? Thanks

Looking for a trail for a 1 night backpacking trip.
My wife and I are about to do our first over night backpacking trip. Just one night. I wanted something between 6-10 miles (roundtrip) and 1.5-3 in difficulty and a good water source. So I was thinking Horton Creek would be great for us, but it seems to be closed at the moment. I live in North Phoen...

Sorry....I meant the Payson Ranger District. It does appear closed as of now...Closure started 8/31

Leaning Towards Horton Creek Trail

So I think Horton Creek would be great for us, but I do have one question. Do you need amphibous shoes or is the entire trail dr...
