Re: fires and heat oh my

Thanks all!

I've decided to abandon ship and jump off trail and head back to the PCT and get some miles out there and help the hikers and trail angels out for a while. It's been fun AZT, but maybe another time...

fires and heat oh my

Hey all, Alas, more problems of having a late start date. I'm in Superior now, but the forecast is not very conducive of hiking the next few days, temperatures lingering over 100. Additionally, fires in the Sunflower area have me a little concerned, and since I'm on a tight schedule in the first pla...

Re: last minute GPS data advice

Hi All, Many thanks for letting me know the issue. I had just blamed my own inadequacies with using computers, but it's a little comforting to know that this time it wasn't me!!! Seems I will be bouncing my netbook somewhere near Phoenix now. Thanks so much for all your help. I'll be in Tucson this ...

I have both mapsource and basecamp but ca...

I have a 45 degree bag as well, but I'm worried that might be too light of a bag. Any thoughts are helpful....

Late Start Date for a AZT thru...

Hey All, I just started doing some research about the AZT and the thru-hiking bug is back quicker than expected. I've done the AT, and last year the PCT, and have significant experience working in the high deserts of southern Utah, so the thought of desert hiking and the challenges of water and trav...
