I echo Hikeaz's comments (other than the amount of time it took to get to the falls... ) The new rockslide is pretty ominous. Should be a really cool sight to see them both flowing hopefully this spring. Need some snow up there though. To the guys making the pack trip, if there's a hint of pre...

Here is a pic of that second area on the road. Jeep owners have said they can make it due to their short wheelbase. I was reluctant to try it with my '99 Tahoe. There has been debate over whether to fix this area, or not. It may have an adverse impact on the ranch area in the long run. As a disclaim...

You stay out of this Shi. It's a Man's thing.
Actually Pete, that is a pretty good choice for, what is it now?, canyoneering? You're worse than a woman. Ya know that?

Wow. Great post Pete! I am in awe how you were able to keep your wits about you in that situation. Not sure if I could have kept the cool head. That isn't exactly like getting lost out on a spring Supes hike. I'm going to remember this post for a long time. At least until my brain cell gives out on ...

The scree chute is the best part of Browns Peak. Up or down. Although adding a little ice will boost the pucker factor a little more. We'll keep our eyes on the weather this week. I'm not too concerned at this point. I'm sure a few of you guys meandered a little further into Azrocks' site to check ...

I scoffed at poles for a long time, did carry a broom handle for poking at things and just to have something in my hands. Then the second knee went bad, and I had a 5 day back pack planned in Grand Gulch. Physical therapist had no cure, so I sort of impulse - purchased a set of Leki's. Took a while...

I have spoken! :A2: Now, what exactly did Mr. Olesma do to deserve you again? I'll have to take notes... I'm glad you sort of like me. At least I have one fan! sort of... Ok. What I have learned here, is that you really don't have a leash on the boy. Although it could be one of those electric...

PFredrics is a pot stirrer. I like that. I think I'll join in: America - the last bastion of correct thinking conservative moral values in the world - or so we imagine ourselves. PFredrics brings up a good point - just about the only place in the world where you can hike and NOT see people nekid is...
