We have a secret camp spot up one of the draws where Negative Nancy - Icky Vicky will never find you.
Lots of wood for fires and fed by springs for water. PM for GPS location if interested.

@joebartels How funny Joe... we camped up top where you ascended .... feeling frisky and too excited for our rap into meadow the next day we did a midnight hike down the route you came up but just 1/4 mile... on the way back up, Carlos got bit by a snake, drew blood but non-venomous. I saw a bright...

This is our road route. 4x4 not needed. Just HPV. Go slow... you dont want to bottom out. This adds 1.3 miles One way, to your hike to the TH but its a forest bushwack sooo, theres that. But it takes 2 miles of that painful drive out of the fray. https://hikearizona.com/map.php?GPS=33505

Third annual excursion there, learned the best place to harvest is from the spring/pools coming off Big Canyon....there are also some spring locations just west of the USFS camp at the mouth of Salt Canyon...harvesting from these locations the water is clear, less wear and tear on having to backwash...
