The plants are still there, the Irving plant is still occupied but Childs is shut down and some of the buildings have been removed. I don't know for sure if the lake is dried up but it did look that way.

I don't think Stehr Lake is a lake anymore. Both of the power plants up there were shut down and there is no water flowing in the flumes. I have gone to the hot springs near there and the lake can be seen from the road on the left and it looked pretty dried up.

Check out the Cabin Loop Trail on the Mogollon Rim. Beautiful country there. You can take the Fred Haught trail to the U-Bar trail to Barbershop trail or you can shorten it by taking the Houston Bros. trail throuth the center of the loop. There is a map on the Fred Haught trail page. I did this hike...

Easy biking trails

Does anybody know of any easy biking trails for beginers around Phoenix. I just got my mountain bike and need some trails to train on for longer trips. I've been to Dreamy Draw and those are pretty simple but something a little flatter would be nice sometimes.

Water in the Superstitions?

I am planning a trip in the Superstitions towards the end of this month. I wanted to see if anybody has been on the Red Tanks trail, JF trail or Boulder Canyon lately and how is water availability. Any information will help.
Thank You

I don't know too much about GPS devices but I was given one as a gift and I love it. I have a Magellan Meridian Gold and it does more than I would ever need. I also purchased the MapSend Topo software which I'm not too crazy about, the quality of the map from the program seems poor compared to other...

Does anyone have GPS info for the Sierra Ancha's

My wife and I are going to spend the day in the area of Pueblo Canyon ruins on friday.
Does anyone have any GPS info on this hike or Devil's Chasm?
If not, I will be sure to post it when I get home.
