@joebartels
Hey Joe, it looks great! I don't know if you use Facebook much but I tried to tag you in my post so you could see it.

Re: Route Scout - Share
Joe this will be awesome! Since you said it's still a work in progress, I assume I can't try it out for myself yet?

still having time zone issues
@joebartels Hi Joe! I had written to you about this a while back but the problem occurred again. I was hiking here in Arizona last weekend, and I hiked up the Holbert Trail. (I did export this to Route Cloud). So....when I look at the track now, the times are correct. However, WHILE I was hiking, t...

Sent you a PM and a trackjoebartels wrote:@chumley
Okay so it's all out of AZ. Or possibly only out of local if those that live out of state get correct times.

Re: Route Scout Gaps in GPS Data - Android
Hi Joe, I uploaded some tracks and some info I hope will help you. Please look in my profile for the tracks. I have two tracks: Wildcat before (at Monument Valley), and Wildcat Edited. I had an extraneous point happen here where I had a huge gap in data. That was when I got a notification that Supre...

Re: Route Scout Gaps in GPS Data - Android
Well, that proved me wrong. I used good ol' HAZ Tracks today and still couldn't get an uninterrupted route in Papago Park. (Joe...again, have a look in my Route Manager if it interests you). I don't know what, if anything I can do? I had two gaps today, and the second happened after I even checked t...

Re: Route Scout Gaps in GPS Data - Android
Joe...is HAZ Tracks still available? I never had any interruption on my (same Android) phone but ever since I replaced it with RS, I haven't been able to do a single hike without an interruption. Look in my profile today at "Thompson" and I even got a crazy point way away from the route. I...

Re: HAZ Tracks - GPS Hiking App
Joe...is there a possibility of having a really simple waypoint functionality that works something like this: press an icon, box opens to enter text. It marks exactly where you are...NOT the center of the map. Right now if you hit the waypoint icon, and you're not centered where you actually are, it...

Ah, OK. I wasn't sure since the aerials were available that it wasn't just making other Google layers available as well
Thanks!

Re: HAZ Tracks - GPS Hiking App
@ Joe Bartels ...is there (or could there be) an option to just select Google Maps (with terrain) like you use on the desktop version of HAZ? Today I was hiking in the Phoenix Sonoran Preserve, it was very bright, and hard to read the aerials (though I LOVE having them as a layer). The topo maps don...

@skatchkins
I agree that's what it does. But we don't know what winotron or hippiepunkpirate (who brought up the issue) have their settings on. It could be on Battery Saver, and that could be the issue. Or not
I like to look for the obvious first.
Thanks for testing

Re: HAZ Tracks - GPS Hiking App
@joe bartels Joe.. I only recently installed HAZ Tracks on my Droid Maxx and it gets down to 3ft accuracy. I have a thought as to the issue with those who can't get it below 20 ft. First, I'm on Android 4.4.4 so I don't know if that makes a difference. Under Settings > Location, there is (on my pho...
