yesterday 7 new wild fires were started because of lightning strikes here in arizona.. I use to fight fires on a voninteer basis in oregon and was wondering if anyone here had done the same? if so, who would you concact?

I want to go do this in the morning.. I have a few questions. I have a saturn and a dodge ram 2500 4x4.. which do I need? the weather is supposed to be sunny and 72 in cottonwood. how does that relate to the trail? will it be wormer or colder? wanting to know if I should wear pants or can I get away...

I have had a pair of Merrell Chameleon Stretch like shoes.. hmm let me try that again.. I was thinking of going up there this spring and camping over night at the trail head then heading out early in the morning to rodgers canyon.. that way I could spend more time to explore the area.. that 20 mile dirt road takes a lot of time I have a 4x4 toaster... oops trooper :) that has alswya go...

I might be wrong but.. from what I have heard from hunters up north, its not that hard to stop a black bear. If im not mistaken thats all there is here in AZ? I think this is the best way because its a 6 mile hike, form the north its much further. 6 miles a day is as far as I can go and still enjoy myself..
