Hi guys,
I am also interested in doing some passages of AZT in December. What passages do you have in mind? there are many passages from near Phoenix to Tucson, for example, Passage 12 to 19 is about 170 miles

Backpacking: Cabin Loop in Payson
Hi there, I am thinking backpacking this Cabin loop over this labor day weekend. Unfortunately no backpacking buddy I found, so should do solo. how difficult is it to find the route? I haven't done this before. So looking for any tips or any useful information.. Thank you so much in advance!! Kenny

I don't have Garmin GPS or PLB like SPOT or something, but I plan to bring my smartphone with some apps like Route Scout,etc with a printed map of Green Trails Map and a compass. This should be good enough for this 1st solo backpacking in the wilderness in terms of route finding?

So I assume it is not that difficult to locate the LaBarge spring for water ?

Oh. thank you so much for your comments.That's great that there is water at LaBarge spring, then I just carry less water than I need for whole 3 days.

Day 1 Peralta TH to the intersection of Dutchman and Peralta (1 night) Day 2 east on the dutchman to labarge spring (1 night) Day 3 take the dutchman and bluff ...
