Re: What are some good field books to get?
@flagscott Thanks a ton! What are some good field books to get?
I am looking for books to identify birds, animals, plants and tracks while out on my adventures. I have no clue which ones are worthwhile or not. Ideally it would be one that is specific to the southwest, although I'm not sure if it would be one book or multiples. Thanks in advance!

I emailed the US Fish & Wildlife Service about collecting feathers for my hiking journal or making a charm for my bags. I wouldn't want to get in trouble!

Definitely not alone, we saw some poor bird had gotten it and instead of being like "poor thing" we were more "ooh feathers!"

Sorry! It's about 8-9" long and about 6" wide. With the antlers it stands about 8". Hope that helps a little! My friend has it so I can't measure it directly.

Haha, I thought of that when we finished the first half! It worked great but I thought turning on airplane mode would turn off GPS like everything else. By the time I hit airplane mode my phone was at 48%.

How do I add to my route in Route Manager?
I just used Route Scout for the first time with my phone and it died roughly 2.5 miles from the trailhead. The trail was an out and back and I would like the full distance logged. Can I add the remaining distance? If so how? I tried adding tracks under the edit mode but I can't seem to get anywhere....
