Thanks for the detailed advice, I'm picking up Gila NF map tomorrow and will go over the route you suggested. It'll come down to water. I'll post route and pics and link to this thread.

Most of routes I've seen use East and Middle forks, I'll search those areas for my loop,

I'm looking for ideas for a loop hike in Gila NF next week. I'm hoping to find something around 20 miles or so in distance, preferably with good water availability.
