Re: Native American tased

@Pivo
You're right! I suppose that's a wise move seeing as how she is likely to be the next POTUS. Funny how they give Joe the 29 cent model. :o

Re: Native American tased

@chumley If my ringtone could be long enough I would use Dr. Fauci's joint news conference with the W.H.O. in May where he proclaimed loudly "please stop wearing masks...besides, anything less than N-95 is like trying to stop mosquito's from entering your patio with a chain link fence." I don't see...

Re: Native American tased

@Alston_Neal
I used to really like PBS back when they were fact based in their news division. Now they just mislead the public by the omission of facts which I wouldn't mind as long as tax dollars weren't funding it. As for NBC, they had some decent programming in the 1970's I seem to remember. :-)

Re: Native American tased

@Jim_H Yes. Just Google "Native American Tased" on both YouTube and on Google. I stopped after watching just 6 or 7 different newscasts. It never ceases to amaze me how the same news story, (not just this one) can be spun up to 180 degrees to support a narrative that a particular group or political...

Re: Native American tased

@Pivo The TMZ video you linked must be either fake or altered. PBS and NBC both reported that the hiker was repeatedly tased for no other reason than briefly stepping off the trail. They had on air commentary calling for the immediate firing of the "obviously racist" ranger and that discussions nee...

I was thinking of you when I posted as I know you and Bruce "follow" Scrubby as well as another tree I believe.

Re: "Scrubby" Lives On

@Alston_Neal
I did some research on the Town of Cave Creek Facebook page and several people have called her out on the "fake news" about "Scrubby". My apologies for adding to the problem. Scruffy indeed does not currently look well at all. :( :( I updated the original post.

"Scrubby" Lives On

I thought the juniper in the median of I-17 near Cordes Junction burned for certain this summer. Glad I was wrong...the juniper tree known as "Scrubby" not only survived but is sporting his annual Christmas flair. :) The tradition continues! Update: 12/14.2020 The woman who reported this story to th...

I was going to say something snarky about the one tenth of an inch prediction until it dawned on me that a tenth of an inch would be biblical compared to zero. :DANCE:

@chumley posted that it had been there for several years. The news media, followed by social media brought about all the extra attention.

Re: The 2019!! Cyclical totals discussion thread.

In the short two years in which I've been off the sofa and hiking I owe most, if not all my progress to the HAZ community and the motivation I glean from everyone's trips. 255 miles on year number one and I should cruise by 400 this second year. Not a lot for the fit and young folks, but I'm happy w...

I saw something about the local McDonald's being involved with this on the RFD cable access channel.
