Update on Cottonwood Canyon road (400)

Really good recently graded, passed at least three saloon cars on the road.

BLM have it as 2WD HC sandy at north end.

Re: Cottonwood Canyon road (400)

@azbackpackr Thanks for the info. Your photo reminds us of the first time we went down the road in 1997 in a Ford Escort and met a herd. @AZWanderingBear We will check at Big Water visitor centre before trying it as we have ended up with a Two wheel drive Ford Edge. Many Thanks for the replies.

I was wondering if any one has used the Cottonwood Canyon Road between 89 and Cannonville UT. recently?
What condition is it in?

We should feel at home with the weather in Payson then!
Watson Lake and Lake Mary look like good contenders.
Many Thanks
George.

Canadian Canoe Cottonwood / Sedona /Flagstaff

We are hiking in the Sedona area, but are planning to rent a Canadian Canoe for a few days. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for flat water places/ Lakes we could go? Is there anywhere we could see Eagles or Ospreys?
Many thanks
George.
