Similar to Fossil Springs
With all the new regulations and just being so saturated because of the season, anyone know of good alternatives that are similar to Fossil Springs, ideally would like to hike and camp. Thank you.

Re: Similar to Fossil Springs
There is nothing similar to Fossil Springs. That's why it's crowded. It's unique.
I'm not sure what my spirit animal is, but I'm confident it has rabies.

@sajor75
Yes there is! Currently, the forest service is suggesting that you visit one of the following designated "spill-over" sites instead to include: Wet Beaver Creek, West Clear Creek, the Bullpen area and any other cool spots in the Verde Valley ;)

Re: Similar to Fossil Springs
If you simply want a similar hike with running water look at Horton Creek, Parsons trail or Hell's Hole trail.

The previous post asks if there are alternatives to Fossil Springs? FOT answered...
Just sayin....
So that when the traffic there increases they can also begin requiring "Permit Area fees that are non-refundable."friendofThundergod wrote:Yes there is! Re: Similar to Fossil Springs
I second the suggestion for Parson's Trail, if that's the one that goes into Sycamore Creek (near Clarkdale.) Seem to remember that was the official trail name, amirite?
Been too long since I've hiked that one. Always loved it. You need to backpack four miles to above the spring to camp.
