Post by emathews2715 »

New to this forum, did know where to post this question so sorry if its in the wrong place.

But, I'm looking for a one night hike to do this weekend, looking for something within 2 hours of driving of phoenix. Any help would be much appreciated thank you!

You've posted in the right place.

Don't know if you read this thread yet: https://hikearizona.com/dex2/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=9778

Many of those hikes are too cold at this time of year. With a cold front coming through on Friday, this weekend is supposed to be quite chilly, and I would stay as low in elevation as possible.

Bluff Springs Loop is probably the best choice, but other Superstition hikes such as Reavis or Haunted Canyon would be nice too if you can tolerate the cold temps. (Sat night forecast lows in upper 30s on the Bluff loop, upper 20s at Reavis).

@emathews2715
Head out to First Water Trailhead and spend the night in Garden Valley.
