Good Hike for weekend thats not to popular?

Post by dom6688 »

Hello all,

I love this page first of all ;)..

Anyways, I Would like to take my girlfriend camping/hiking somewhere either around flagstaff or sedona/jerome/oakcreek... Can anyone recommend any good hikes (nice scenery, maybe some water to swim in) around these areas.. I have done quite a few of the touristy ones around the verde but as far as flagstaff goes I have done none.. Any good camping spots also in the area :?: (probably all full being the weekend, but oh well..). We are somewhat experienced hikers also, so any recommendations are good.

THANKS !!!

Dominic

But if anyone answers that question, it will become a popular hike, defeating the purpose.

In response to dom6688's reply:

Well they could email me dgroscigno8@hotmail.com

and I really doubt it would become that popular, and the people who read this board anyways would probably appriciate it.

Ok, I will trade for a not popular good prescott area hike.. heh , whatever.

There are lots of places around Sedona/Oak creek area with swimming holes. West Clear Creek, Wet Beaver Creek to name a few. Problem is they are going to be crowded. I'm not real sure around Flagstaff. A few years back I went climbing in an area called Paradise Forks outside of the Williams/Flagstaff area. There were swimming holes there. I'm not sure how they were fed so they may be a seasonal thing. If you'd like me to give you directions pm me and I'd be happy give you that info.
