My name is Randy and I've contacted a guide who is going to lead a Cibeque Creek trip this Saturday, Feb. 24th. So far, it is only myself going that I know of. If you want more info, call me at 480-258-3348. We can set up a carpool, talk about necessary equipment, etc. The fee is $100 per person for the guide service.
Thanks,
Randy

busy that weekend but I am interested in whats going on with that trail.
Can you get in there without a guide? Hike just to the water fall?
I know the trail says that sportmans warehouse is supposed to be selling permits now that the shop is closed but last october they hadn't started selling them yet and didn't know how much they would be.
anyone have new info?

In response to slacker's reply:
You can get permits at some of the gas stations in Globe. They are charging $20 a day/per person!!
You don't need a guide to hike to the waterfall. Up stream from the waterfall you do. But if you want to get a guide, you will start upstream and rappel the falls. Check out the May 2002 edition of Arizona Highways Magazine for more info on this.
I would wear at least a wet suit this time of year. That water will be snowmelt!!

I would love to hike there, but this is not the weekend. We were actually talking about this hike this morning. Maybe for April. Please let me know about the trout fishing. And please let me know about the guide service. I am more than happy to support a well-informed guide on these hikes.
Enjoy.

Yes, start where the creek enters the river. Usually the creek is low enough to drive across, and there is a parking area on the other side. I don't chance it because I don't have 4WD, so I park in a pull-out before the creek.
I don't think you need a permit to drive the road. If you get out of your car and start walking around, that's when you're in permit territory.
