FR 300-Mogollon Rim

Post by chikkutom »

Hi,

I am planning on doing this trip this coming Saturday. I am just looking to do some scenic drive with some good photo ops. Does anyone know any good photo op places in this road? I notice that there are a lot of small FR roads that lead to streams and some good views. Does anyone know any of the good branching FR roads? Any short well worth hikes should be fine also.

Thanks for the help!

If you want to go to a war-zone, you could go to Afghanistan, or luckily, just go up onto the Rim this weekend :(

Ryan that's probably a valid point. I bet you could get a sedan down there though ... just depends on who owns it! :D

Thank you everyone for the info! and a special thanks to chumley for the map. Really helped a lot. The trip was really good. Next time it will be a camping trip. I also barely missed a heavy hail storm too! But it was still fun. Check out my photos from the trip. http://www.hikearizona.com/photoset.php?ID=8402
