El Oso Road to Four Peaks
Hey folks. Its been a few years since I've gone up the El Oso Rd. way to Four Peaks. I know my Sonoma can make it just fine but does anyone think a Prius would have any trouble-- the gas mileage and air conditioning make my friend's car a hopeful option but it rides a little low. I seem to remember going that route a few years ago and bottoming out a few times in a buddy's sedan. What's the word?

Driving slow, there shouldn't be too much of a problem
No man should go through life without once experiencing healthy, even bored solitude in the wilderness, finding himself depending solely on himself and thereby learning his true and hidden strength

I second that; just went up there Sunday. El Oso via 188 is good. There are some deeper ruts in the road but if you go slow I don't think you'd have a problem.

Re: El Oso Road to Four Peaks
I ended up taking my truck up there instead of having my friend take the Prius. Her Prius sits pretty low and I definitely think there would have been a couple sketchy spots for it. A regular car is no problem, though. Of course, my truck did overheat on the way up so maybe the Prius would have been just as well.
