kendrick snow level

Hi - does anyone have current information about snow levels at Kendrick. I was hoping to do the Kendrick "Loop" Saturday April 28, up Kendrick Trail, down Pumpkin, over to Bull Basin up to the Cabin and back down Kedrick Trail. If anyone can help with current snow conditions/levels, that would be great.

I haven't been up there specifically, but you can still see snow at the top of the San Francisco Peaks, and I've seen occasional remaining drifts in sheltered areas above 7500 feet. So I would expect that on north and east facing exposures you will still encounter some snow, especially higher up. There's also a cold front and storm scheduled to come through the state on Thursday, and it's been trending toward more precipitation and lower snow levels, so all of Kendrick might be covered (or melting) on Saturday. Hi - just wanted to post an update to my original post as I did this route last Saturday, May 5. As expected the Kendrick trail was in great condition. After a quick trip to the lookout tower, we headed down Pumpkin trail, and it was pretty rugged near the top, a few large downed trees, but we navigated quite easily. As we continued our descent, there was lots of loose branches and rocks, we moved some as we went, but it was pretty slow going. The connecter trail to Bull Basin was great. The Bull Basin trail was seriously treacherous, a ton of downed trees, large and small. Lots of "pixie stix" formations with up to 8 logs criss-crossing the trail. At about 8800 feet, the snow patches appeared. Between the snow and the tree wreckage, the finding the trail was a problem. We had to post-hole the now, at one time I was up to my hips as the snow was very soft. We slowly got back to the cabin and enjoyed a beautiful descent. I don't expect the snow to be an issue much longer, but the downed trees will take some work.
