Trail Cams in AZ
What are the rules of having a trail cam on public land in AZ? I’ve seen conflicting answers.

Re: Trail Cams in AZ
I think that if you are looking to place trail cams, you contact the agency responsible for the land in which you intend to place them to see if they have any more specific rules about where and how you place them. And if they don't have any, but the area is highly trafficked by the general public, you show your ethical side and place them away from public, maintained trails and not pointed at public, maintained trails. Go off-trail, find a game trail and place it there, as inconspicuously as possible.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty & well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, totally worn out & proclaiming, "Wow What a Ride!"

Definitely. Haven’t even purchased one yet because I wasn’t sure about the rules but have some spots in mind far far away from humans!

The forest svc lists this site as a resource, so I’m assuming the info is fairly accurate. Hunting is allowed in certain wilderness areas (and I have hunted in wilderness areas) but game cams are not.

So bizarre. Can I use a smart phone or gps?
When the officer issues a citation does it need to be carved in stone?

I'm not sure what my spirit animal is, but I'm confident it has rabies.

Yes, and yes.
Also, since it was recently mentioned in another thread, wheelchairs are allowed.
