HAZIVERSARY

With the upcoming 20th anniversary of HAZ, I got to thinking about how I discovered my favorite website 14 years ago - before it was everywhere ... I think my story is kinda cool and I am wondering if anyone else found HAZ in interesting ways?

I literally found HAZ while hiking the Flatiron - I picked up a piece of paper on the side of the trail, which turned out to be someone's printout of the hike description from HAZ. I went home, looked it up, and have been here ever since! So glad that I picked up that piece of "trash", or I might have missed out on years of good hikes, and some really good hiking buddies!

As a fairly new member I would like to wish HAZ a very happy 24th anniversary. In the short two years in which I've been off the sofa and hiking I owe most if not all my progress to the community here and the motivation I glean from everyone's trips. 255 miles on year number one and I should blow by 400 this year. Not a lot for the fit and young folks, but I'm very pleased with myself... Let's all hope for a better 2021!
