Moving to Casa Grande / Phoenix / Kayenta / Anywhere

Post by PaleoRob »

Well, I guess I'll have to change my screen name soon. My wife and I are going to be moving to Casa Grande before the end of the year. Listing the house for sale up in Page. No job yet, kinda scary, but my wife needs to go back to school full time. Even commuting to and from UofA, with the house prices in CG we'll save money over moving to El Pueblo. Big change - this will be my first time living off The Plateau since '99. Eeek!

Personally, I'd scrap the trailer and Camaro (and obligatory mullet) idea and get a cargo van. Ever watch The A-Team? Talk about success at solving crimes! And you could easily live in the van and go undetected by the local police and HOAs.

I think Jim is planning on continuing the Rockford Files. Which aint gonna happen once the state of California finds out he wants to move there.

Ah, then we're talking about the Camaro's sister, the Firebird. A 455 was still available in '75!

@Dave1
Can you get that with a T-top? Because I think JimH is gonna wanna drive around Malibu with the top down.

Edit: Please mention JimH moving to Malibu in all posts, otherwise this thread is off-topic and talking about cars. ;)

Oh, I'm moving. And this is happening. No one likes humidity, sure, but the ocean view makes up for it. Plus, I already talked with the good people in Malibu, and they assure me I can live there so long as I wear a lot of suede jackets, and they can film my life like a reality TV show.

I second the notion of a van. You know, for Jim and his new life in Malibu.

No, it has nothing to do with the ladies in his life, just the things he complains about everyday. ;)

Is there a river, which I could live down by, in my van?

Yes. It's known locally as the Colorado River. And you can live by it in a van. But not in my RV!

I don't have to move to California for that.
FYI, Plaster City in our opinion is the only place that makes Barstow look like the garden capital of the world.

I'll be back in Arizona soon! (I know, some of you were glad to get rid of me...but I really did not intend to stay out here, unless I found a super job.) More later on this...
