I'm gonna skip the 8am bullpumpkin and catch up with you whenever I get there. Anybody else that doesn't think setting an alarm on a Saturday morning is fun is welcome to ride along with me.

8am is late when i normally get up at 4:30

AND.. who wont want to spend as much time as possible in the outback? 10 am at trailhead gets us to camp by noon at best, that leaves me with only 8 hours to explore, chill, hang w/ ma peeps, drink and read. i like me some nature too much to spend time laying in a bed..

Wish I could swing this trip but it just doesn't appear be happening yet. Have fun everyone!

Looks like it might hit 90 in the canyon ... swimming may be possible after all! I'll defer to te-wa for the rules of ultra-light backpacking. Does swimming require a 2oz thong or just au naturel?

Hahaha well maybe I don't want to go on this trip :yuck: Joking, I'm in for sure and I'll just meet you guys at the end as well. I look forward to meeting some fellow AZ backpackers!
