RouX is back for good!

Post by te_wa »

"After many long promises and missed dates. Its offical. Roux is back. I should pull into town Wed. I done have any planned welcome home hike yet, but it will arrive. So Te-wa, Nonot, wally, and everyone else, get ready. being that it is a welcome home hike I imagine somewhat short to make it a backpacking party.

See everyone soon"

Ryan is ROUX. he is my broham who moved to VA a couple years back. he likes to UL backpack, and is a kayaker both on still and moving water. he digs craft beer and when he's had a few he likes to tell the same story over and over. you'll dig it.
i'm kinda sorta glad he's coming back Home, where his arse belongs. :y:

what do you guys want... sycamore canyon, taylor cabin kinda thing? how about a summit like Mt. Graham? or Aravaipa? maybe i'll let Roux decide. i know he's fond of Parson's Spring.

When is this going on? I'd love to hit that big Taylor Cabin / Casner Mtn loop if there's water up there.

I'd like to do the Sycamore Canyon area - I haven't done much there yet. Not sure about water conditions there, it's been a dry winter. A few weekends are already spoken for though.

Aravaipa would be good too, but permits make it a bit of a hassle.

It says "Locked" but sign me up as "Interested, depends on date"

I would like it to be an "enjoyable" trip and not a death march. Even though I do like death marches. I am game for everything. Maxwell has good campsites and we can go luxe. I am pretty much up for anything though. 21st should work for me, but I will know more about my new jon in a day or two about getting some solid dates.

This is spring in Arizona, ya never know. Only two weeks ahead of this date it will be snowing above 5000' with lows near 20.

oh, and pencil me into the interested column, depending of course on exactly where and what you come up with. the "not a death march" part made it seem like it might be something i could enjoy.

I generally have the luxury of making plans just about an hour ahead of anything, so just keep the updates coming.

@te-wa
tempting... but it's going to have to depend on the weather in other parts of the state. I already have plans that weekend w/ someone who is taking off work that day to go hiking. if I can't be there, I'll drink a Modus or two in everyone's honor ;)

Sounds like fun but I don't think that weekend works for me either. If you hold off then I'm in. If not-- then have a great time, folks :)
