Did anyone watch the History Channel about the Dutchman last night, and where do you think they were? ;)

He actually called that little pistol (Dillinger?) he was carrying, his snake gun.

Not a very good idea to televise that part of the show.... just means more armed hikers out there. ](*,)
If I was History Channel, whoever produced/edited this show, would never work another day for a show my channel was going to air. I see this as different as the Alaska shows where they shoot the moose/bears etc. because that family are actually surviving and are going to eat the meat, etc. I can't fathom how that portion of the footage in meetings didn't get the chop.

This was just plain idiocy. I hope that he was just shooting up into the air and didn't actually kill the rattlesnake.

Frank is a total Asshat! Idiots like that shouldn't be allowed into wilderness areas.

Haven't seen the second one, did they make it in to the wilderness

When a show like this is in your ( I'm sorry, Wally & FOTG's ) backyard the over scripting almost hurts. Surprised we haven't seen jumping cholla yet, Nick or Bob style!

I have chose not to watch that show out of principle and a lack of cable, with the lack of cable being perhaps the greatest factor. Either way the show saddens me a great deal :(

@friendofThundergod
Don't let lack of cable be an excuse...
I thought you enjoyed comedies?

My neighbor recorded it so I could see it today and without the commercials :y: .
Does anyone know where the foundation is where they supposedly found the metal buckle?

Somewhere past Tortilla Flat near Apache Trail? I say that based on a number of shots with Black Cross Butte (3351) in the background.

Speaking of the buckle, let's assume the foundation existed before Jacob Waltz based on an off-the-cuff guesstimate of the age of the buckle... quite scientific.

Oh, oh... :o
That pretty much gave away the fact I watched the episode. And yes, stringing us along like a bad soap opera, I do wonder why I watch it. Probably to see just how far from reality they can drag us.

Oh yeah, let's map out all the heart-stones, arbitrarily draw intersecting lines and see where they point... to the Bulldog Mine, where else??
So let's go see Bob Shuse, owner of the Goldfield Ghost Town, of course... cut him in 25% so he can take the Peralta Map, compare it with his Gonzales Map and whaddaya know, all we need to do is follow Fish Creek up to a Y where the map shows three X's and Mina.

Oh, but it's going to be too tough for Woody... better bury him now and get it over with. ](*,)

Thank goodness I've got things I can do while letting it run... blah, blah, blah (No cable but I can watch it online and get by almost ad-free)

Oh yes, I'll continue to watch all the episodes but if they keep giving me all these fabulous clues I might find the gold mine and quit watching. :y:

Yup, close to the Apache Trail of course as we must not cross over into the actual Wilderness as that would require permits and costly fee's. :scared:

I suspect that old foundation was left over from the days when Apache Trail was built for supplying men and equipment for the construction of Roosevelt Dam. ;)

As I understand it, it was Brian Williams home when he was reporting on the Apache wars.

Haha! I'm glad I don't have a TV! I might get addicted, too! They probably have a 12-step program for that!
