Favorite Approach Shoe?

Post by AZHiker456 »

1. What is/are your favorite Approach Shoe(s)

2. For those who have had the privilege of wearing the 5-10 Camp 4’s (and LIKED them… cuz it’s probably NOT your cup of tea if ya don’t venture off trail or if you value light weight over breaking a toe), what other shoes (if any) did you find similar.

My answers:
TBD

I read this about the Dragontail outsole...
"Vibram® Maton outsole with specialized “Mount” double compound in the toe and heel strike area to ascend and descend in confidence."
"The censorship method ... is that of handing the job over to some frail and erring mortal man, and making him omnipotent on the assumption that his official status will make him infallible and omniscient."

A "shoe repairman" is a cobbler, as an FYI. It's a legit specialized field so think they deserve the title.

@xsproutx
Well EXCUSE ME [bet YOUR the type that gets offended over every little thing].

I meant NO disrespect and quite honestly IF the term shoe repairmen (or women) offends them, then THEY need to show their customer base that 'cobbler' is what they want to be known as... FOR EXAMPLE: https://shoerepairtucson.com/ [...just maybe use cobbler in the URL instead of shoe repair... but wait, it gets better!]:

See the actual photo on the bottom of the page of their physical location with, (YOU GUESSED IT: "SHOE REPAIR")... AND the little blurb mid-way down the page where it says: "More than just shoe repair..." and then goes on to say "We even replace zippers...". IF these folks are even offended by the term shoe repairman and would rather be recognized as 'cobblers' then for Pete's sake, they need to take a little responsibility here and let their customers know that instead of 'imprinting' shoe repair everywhere; for example: "OUR COBBLERS even replace zippers..."
