lost backpack near Calloway Trail along West Clear Creek

Last weekend I led a group of canyoneers down Wilbur Canyon. One of the participants left his backpack with gear on a flat rock in the middle of the creek about ¼ miles upstream of the Calloway Trail junction at West Clear Creek. I am asking people who hike this stretch of West Clear Creek to please contact me if they find this backpack. It belongs to Gary Hendrickson of Phoenix. Please call Mitch at 520-991-1199. Thanks

At the risk of sounding a bit coarse... if you know exactly where it is, why not head back there to get it?

Or did you try that already only to find that it's not there anymore?

i was there last weekend, however only from Maxwell to about Tramway. I did see a younger man, around 25 maybe, hiking in the canyon. he said he came down calloway. he had a digital camo/army style pack, and blue jeans. maybe he saw it, and maybe he left it there. or maybe, he's about to reply to this thread...?

I'm surprised you guys are doing the long Exit. I didn't think anyone even did it that way anymore, it's a long Slog. I suppose the Good News about the Pack, is that if it's still there, you won't have nearly the Day just going back for it, if it's within 1/4 Mile of the Calloway Trail...Down the Trail, 1/2 Mile of Creek instead of 4 Miles, and back up....
