Glen Canyon National Recreation Area

Any suggestions on where to explore at Glen Canyon? I'll be working at the Grand Canyon during Winter Break and I want to explore Flen Canyon on some of my off days.

I personally enjoyed the Spencer Trail. It's good when the weather is cooler since it's exposed.

Do you have a kayak? You can easily paddle across the river and do this hike, or get the permit and hike in via 89A.

This would be a great adventure if you have a boat. I always wanted to do this one. I've only seen a photo online. It's an amazing setting. I spent a lot of time at Lake Powell when I was young. I miss those trips.

@azbackpackr I wish!!! I would like to own one someday. Rental could be an option but not really in my budget currently. Looks awesome though, thank you!

I believe you can get a permit for $12 in Cameron or Page, and hike in from 89A. At least, it was $12 last time I checked. Hope you can get a kayak sometime.
