Am wondering about any boots-on-the-ground beta about Willow Creek canyon, please. Specifically, the 25-ish mile section between East Clear Creek and Wiggins. Thanks!

Thanks Steve..... I blemmed... I had filtered out all but 'hikes' - I omitted 'canyoneering'. D.A. I am.
Did you backtrack that trip; or? Looks like Wilkins would be a shorter and potentially less-thorny return, starting about where you did. Thank you again.

Wilkins was full of downed trees, I was planning to use it for a loop, but based on what I found, I climbed out of Wilkins after only 0.25 miles from ECC on an elk trail.

Keep in mind this was 6 years ago when the beetle kill off was at its most ferocious. It was also the day after drizzling all the previous night and morning and plowing through bushes would have meant getting soaked through and through. It might have cleared out a bit by now, as the termites and whatnot are pretty good at eating up the fallen trees.
Consulting my GPS record, I actually exited wilkins after 200 ft, not even 0.25 miles. I guess I didn't like what I saw right away, lol.
