We keep seeing the distance for the hike to Tony's ranch is around 10 miles. Now folks are posting a gate is closed so add 3 miles? Ok so what is the actual distance I know it sounds stupid but since it's listed as a there and back is it 10 miles just into the cabin or tonys ranch area or is it a total of 10 miles? Just trying to figure out details before we go lol. Any help as to this area is greatly appreciated!

If you hike in from the Iron Bridge trailhead it's about 11.5 miles total (5.75 in + 5.75 out) to the Cabin.
If you drive another 4 miles to the second Haunted Canyon trailhead it's about 8 miles total (4 in + 4 out) to the Cabin.

The gate is at the Iron Bridge area. It has been there a while but you start out hiking the road for about 1.5 miles.

Look for the patch. You have to lift it up to enter in...

Donna is gonna love Tony Ranch.

@Hikertrasharizona
[ Cave of a Thousand Eyes a.k.a. Moraga cavern ]

FWIW, I couldn't find it. I'm not sure I'd believe anyone who says they have, except for Tom Kollenborn.

Here's a link to Tom Kollenborn's story about the "Cave of a Thousand Eyes". Many have searched for the entrance to the cave in recent years, but if they have located it, they're keeping it a secret.

That's a pretty cool story by Tom. I can believe that no one found the entrance to the cave. Hopefully someone will stumble upon it sooner or later and share it with others.

There are a lot of partly-filled holes out there. More than a few of them are bear dens or home to other large critters. Here's one in that general vicinity, probably an old prospect, but now somebody's home:

It would take more effort to find out if it's the entrance to something bigger, which is more than I'm up for on a long day of backpacking.
