Flag to Pine Section Hike- Water cache

Post by SonoranSon »

Section Hiking from Flagstaff to Pine this summer~ 130 miles. Besides the lakes out side of flagstaff, blue ridge resovior, and the creeks north of pine, are there any longer stretches without water? And where would be a good place to cache water, and food around 60-90 miles in. Going SOBO. Assuming bearbagging will be required most of the way? Thanks for any info

When they re-open the forests and you can complete the hike, Moqui CG area has easy access for a cache. The trail is never super-far from FR3 and SR87, so access points are plentiful.

@hikeaz
Yeah, I've been praying to the RainGods for some decent monsoons before beginning the hike at the end of August. Will either get lucky or have to re-route. Thanks for the info
