I'm looking at the rating for this hike, 0.5 out of 5. That sounds pretty easy but then I look at pics and it looks like lots of scrabbling down rock walls using existing ropes periodically. When you guys say 0.5 is that meaning 0 to 5 canyoneering equipment and skills or is that a 0 to 5 hiking skill set which means anyone who can walk and chew gum can do this with a little effort?

@k9hiker
That one may be a bit sandbagged. Haven't done the full 3 miles in the description but any hike involving scrambling and downclimbing doesn't seem to deserve a rating of only 0.5.

I just bumped it to 2. I'm sure
@chumley will holler if he thinks his 0.5 sidewalk stroll has merit.

Well if
this one is a 2.5, then Pine Creek Narrows is at least a 4.
Perhaps it shouldn't even be "hiking" but rather "canyoneering" with a Grade 1.5, Water A (seasonally C!), No risk, and a Time of II-III
"
assumes decent tread" ?

Three hours for that, white towel accepted!
...not 0.5
EDIT
On a kinder serious note.
[ Pine Creek Narrows - Isolation Canyon ] is a quick entry by chums and is open to editing.

I don't recall having any part in that page? Author hikebot, though of course that gets thrown around all over the place. Why would I have created that in 2018 when the only time I was there was 2015?

@chumley
The never-ending standardization of articles on the web decided stub entries must have a valid date.
2018-07-14 was a quick fix to silence that nag on hundreds of stubs. Bottom of the page says
page created by chumley on Feb 16 2015 9:57 am. I checked the archives. No edits.
