BLM Middle Gila South Planning Project

While researching a future backcountry trip, I had a great conversation with Francisco Mendoza, Outdoor Recreation Planner at the BLM Tucson office. He informed me that there is a public comment period going on until November 17, 2022 on a Travel Management Plan in the Middle Gila South, Picacho, and Lower San Pedro Galiuro Travel Management Areas generally in the Tucson area. This area includes the Needle’s Eye Wilderness and Passages 14-15 of the Arizona Trail.
