CT Shooting
My niece goes to the elementary school where the shooting occurred. I couldn't get a hold of anyone in CT to find how what was going on. The not knowing part was brutal. Finally, I got in contact with my sister in NC who told me she wasn't among the victims. I pray for those who lost loved ones and for those involved who will carry this burden.

Re: CT Shooting
As you know Bob, I also have friends and family in the area. I have two high-school friends whom I still stay in touch with with children who live in Newtown. I'm not close enough to them to know their exact ages or school they attend. I have yet to hear from them, and have not put great effort into contacting them in fear for what may be. I don't even know what else to say. It's basically incomprehensible, and I personally choose to just pretend it's not real.

I cannot imagine what those parents are going through, as you say, it is incomprehensible.

Re: CT Shooting
Just learned that my friends kids do not attend sandy hook. While that's relieving to learn it doesn't really make me feel any better about the whole situation.

Re: CT Shooting
I have a 7 year old son (1st grade). I was up hunting when my wife phoned me the news. After weather forced us home, I sat with him in my arms and cried for the first time since he was born. Unbelievably sad situation. No words can discribe the pain in my heart I feel for the victims families.
