I am hoping to ride horseback with a layover to see circlestone. Has anyone recently been up that way on #109 to reavis, #117 reavis gap trail, and #119 two bar ridge trail. Deadfall and wash outs are primary concerns Thank you

Lynn, I'm not sure if you are talking about #109 from the south to Reavis Ranch, or from the north. There are two large deadfall across the trail from the south. Also, while I don't tow a trailer very often, trailer access from the south could be pretty tricky. There is a three point turn required a couple miles from the TH.

Scout Troop 451 sponsored by a Methodist church in Mesa used to take their 52 passenger school bus around this turn without unloading the Scouts. It can be done. I have seen horse trailers at the trail head many times. Maybe they unloaded the horses at this turn however and rode them up and down to this spot so the trailers would be empty on this steep grade.

That washout is much worse than it was Jan 6. Must have been some serious rain.

@Sredfield
thanks, the trailers would never make it up to rogers trough trailhead, we will be parked down by picketpost and riding south to north. The lg deadfall is a problem to us, being a az trail steward it is a problem I'm too familar with Thanks

When do you plan to go? Maybe I can get them cut out by then. It's an overnight trip with saws but probably doable.
