As always, a great hike. For some reason today it was just a little bit too long :) Apples still hanging on the tops of the trees, where are the coti's and ringtails to get these? The bears and deer keep the ones that fall off pretty cleaned up. Saw two groups of campers at the ranch. Water in the creek and several side streams as we went in. Skiff of snow left in the shady areas, trail was pretty muddy as things warmed up. Two HUGE and two smaller trees across the trail. Also saw a camp with tents, poles, tarps, sleeping bags and other junk left beside the trail, about a half-mile north of the saddle (N33.45778 W111.17171). There aren't enough pumpkins in the HAZ patch to describe how this makes me feel, maybe there is a justifying explanation, if so, I'd love to hear it.
