Weaver's Needle Loop
I'm new, so please forgive me if I landed in the wrong place! I've hiked in the Superstitions all the way to the top of the flat iron (once) and many times up the Peralta Trail #102, and then followed it "down" for a bit toward Weaver's Needle. I don't how far to go, whether the trails remain marked (I went around those boulders at the left as you're looking out toward the Needle, but it seemed too steep to try it further without good advice. I have also started from Canyon Lake and hiked a few miles from the other end, but again, not knowing what to expect, I didn't want to take the risk. Call me a dummy, but when I read the excellent trail descriptions on this website, they're nearly meaningless to me: you have to be there to understand what the experienced hikers are talking about! So here's my questions: (1) is there some trail map available that I could bring with me? (2) if so, would that be paper in a book, or maybe something I could look at on my phone? (3) Is the trail from Peralta down to the Needle and around it marked at all? Thank you!

Re: Weaver's Needle Loop
I have the green trails map of the superstition wilderness
also have the forest service map
both should be available at REI or hiking shack
take a look at the official routes and the hike descriptions
for example, here is the gps route for weaver's needle loop: https://hikearizona.com/map.php?GPS=7351
and the https://hikearizona.com/decoder.php?ZTN=204
if you click on the map choice in the upper right hand corner of the route page, you can look at the forest service topo
check out the route scout app
if you download a route, it shows the topo and the track on your phone

Re: Weaver's Needle Loop
I like old school paper maps, like these. Pretty much all the trail junctions in the Supes are signed.
