Stumbled across this well build cistern about 200' in elevation above the canyon. The Galvanized pipe was replaced with black plastic pipe which was burned away in sections. 400-500 feet below this was a round stock tank that was situated about 20 feet above the canyone floor. The metal lid is 3/8th inch steel and cut to match the hillside.
