heading down looking for the old mining road , or pieces of it. It's getting darker now. We followed the road down and lost it a few times. This road is very hard to follow. The road appears to lead right up to a cliff about 15 feet above the main wash (Steamboat wash). At that point, look for a switchback turning right. You should see a cairn marking the best way to get back down into the canyon. Unfortunately it was already dark by the time we got there and could not get a good photo.
