Wide open, and I like it. No, not at all natural, but there is grass, and lots of bracken ferns, which would be reduced in numbers if fire burned this more frequently and in growing season. More native grasses and forbs would then grow, benefiting species like hummingbirds, and yes, the ungulates, but also other animals.
