There was quite a bit of healthy Sand Rubber Rabbitbush.

It's a rare shrub, unique to southern Utah.
The plant stabilizes the sandy soil, provides shelter for the Coral Pink Sand Dunes tiger beetle (Cicindela albissima), and offers nectar and pollen for pollinators.
It has narrow, silvery-green leaves and distinct, glabrous, strongly-ranked vertical phyllaries (bracts below the flower heads).
