This is where you walk through if you go left at an intersection where the right fork takes you up to the Jewel of the Creek trailhead. It obviously looks like some of these were burned. It was a bit mystical. This is the part of the trail that we turned back on as some other hikers said it dead-ended here but I don't know if that was really the case.
