What a complete surprise and honor to run into Judy and Pete Cowgill on Carr Peak! Pete is a local hiking legend and co-founder of the Southern Arizona Hiking Club (1958). He had just celebrated his 85th birthday and was out doing Carr Peak as a warmup for next months hike up Wrightson. This made my day!
