So this is my photoshop of what Glen Canyon Dam would have looked like if they had built at the 3 Mile site for a 3900' surface elevation reservoir. Similar, but not the same...
I should also point out that this dam would have had a powerhouse at Lonely Dell, so there may not have been much of a river in the bed below the dam at this point.
