I just realized these pics at the lodge should go with the Running Eagle trip report (http://hikearizona.com/photoset.php?ID=16584). And if you remember from a previous photo from that set, I had mentioned they had this map at various places in the park. Here is another version with the Great Northern Railway.

From glacierparkinc.com: Glacier Park Lodge was built almost a century ago by the Great Northern Railway. Situated on the Blackfeet Reservation, the hotel site was purchased from the Piegan, a tribe of the Blackfeet Nation. This site was in a settlement then known as Midvale. When the present railway depot was built in 1912, the area was renamed Glacier Park Station and then became known as East Glacier Park in 1950.
