The arms on this cactus are very dense, making their counting a real challenge. Two of us counted main arm by main arm until we agreed and the other one of us kept the tally on an iPhone (couldn't find an arm counting app ;-)). We tallied 52 arms (not counting the main trunk) which is less than the oft-stated 57 arms.
