This is General Sigel located just off of Grand Dr. There is lots of stuff named after him. There is a Sigel County in IL where a lot of my relatives are from. I would get very close to Sigel County on this trip as I continue my genealogy research. Anyway, I thot it was a nice statue surrounded by beautiful flora. Sigel is another one of those names that I pronounced incorrectly when I was last in IL. They say it is pronounced Si (like sit) gel (gell).
