Now we are within minutes of heading up the Chute. The night before we had heard the story at the chalet about the grizzly at the Chute where some hikers had to wait it out for a bit for the grizzly to make its way to wherever he was going. I was ever mindful of this story and per my trip report, imagine my surprise when I'm not even half way up only to look up at a set of big brown eyes peering down at me. Thank the Lord it was only a big ole mountain goat.
